Tom Martin

Tom Martin is the Professional Development Manager at the Science Learning Centre South East. Tom is responsible for managing CPD delivery and the centres QA assurance processes.

Prior to joining the Science Learning Centre Tom spent several years lecturing on Applied Science & Access to HE programmes at an FE College in Dorset. He made the move to lecturing after working for 5 years as a technician in the same college and then deciding to complete a PGCE. Tom graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2003 with a BSc in Chemistry.

Tom’s interests including developing novel and interactive teaching resources, in particular those that utilise ICT and enjoys undertaking his own Continuing Professional Development; regularly attending courses, workshops and conferences and keeping abreast of latest developments in education.
